The City of Truesdale is proud to announce it has been awarded a grant from the Warren County Developmental Disabilities Board.
This funding will support the installation of four ADA-accessible picnic tables at Bruer Park, furthering the City’s commitment to accessibility and inclusivity in public spaces. These improvements will enhance the park experience and ensure that individuals of all abilities can comfortably participate in community events and recreational activities.
The City extends its sincere appreciation to Anita Contreras, Executive Director of the Board, for her guidance and assistance throughout the grant process.
The ground was purchased in 2018 and the City is actively working to provide a park for families to enjoy and a safe place for children to play. The park is named after Murray A. Bruer who passed away on July 1, 2017 during his term as Mayor. Mayor Bruer cared deeply about the community and it was his dream to one day have a park. We are working to make his dream a reality.
